I am excited to be joining the Boscobel staff as the new Middle and High School Choir Director. I am a native of Fennimore where I currently reside with my husband Nick. I graduated from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, IA with a degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Public Relations/Marketing. After college I worked for Wisconsin Badger Camp as their Development Assistant. There I helped fundraise, develop, and promote camp. After working there for three years I went back to school at the University of Wisconsin Platteville where I received my certification in Music Education. I am looking forward to the new school year and can’t wait to share my love of music with Boscobel. I hope to meet as many of you as possible at our open house so I can share with you my goals as well as expectations for the year.
Musically yours,
Mrs. Emily Blackbourn
I am so excited to be the new band director of Boscobel High School and Middle School! I am from Kenosha, where I was born and raised and even went to college at Carthage College. There I studied Music Education and Music Composition all the while being involved in numerous student organizations and performing with the Wind Orchestra in a couple mid-west tours and even a tour in Japan. I have felt very welcome since I have gotten here and am excited to get to work this coming school year. Hopefully I will be able to premiere a new composition with the band this year and put the program in the fore-front of the music happening in the state.
See you this fall!
